Truth = Reality

Truth = Reality

3. For there is going to come a time when people won't listen to the truth but will go around looking for teachers who will tell them just what they want to hear. 4. They won't listen to what the bible says but will blithely follow their own misguided ideas.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (TLB)

3. For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God's truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with somthing pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to suppor the errors they hold, 4. and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into muths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].

2 Timothy 3:3-4 (AMP)

37. Therefore Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say corectly that I am a kind. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

John 18:37 (NASB)

37. "You are a king, then" said Pilate. Jesus answered,  "You say that I am a kind. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the wold is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

Scribture emphasises TRUTH

Jesus came to set us free from bondage to the wolds lies

The truth of Jesus will always challenge the status quo

Man's sinful nature will always; supress, distort, reject, and exchange Gods truth for lies.

18. Such stupidity and ignorance! Their eyes are closed, and they cannot see. Their minds are shut, and they cannot thing. 19. The person who made the idol never stops to reflect, "Why,  its just a block of wood! I burned half of it for heat and used it to bake my bread and roasst my meat. How can the rest of it be a god? Should I bow down to worship a piece of wood?" 20. The poor, deluded foold feed on ashes. He trusts something that can't help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask, "Is this idol that I'm holding in my hand a lie?"

Isaiah 44: 18-20 (NLT)

Our actions will reflect what we believe is really real

God is the ultimate source of TRUTH

2. ...that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ hiself, 3. in whome are hidden all the treasure of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:2-4

The truth is and will always be God's word; the very source of reality!
